Double room on interior, had essentials required. An iron, a work desk, and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels were a NICE touch. The location was particularly good, adjacent to museum, restaurants, shops.

The stuff was nice providing the information. The setting was quite great and brilliant within easy reach of Barrio de Las Letras. Was in a lively area and close to coffee store and bars.

The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the major museums like Thyssen and Prado. The room was clean, and the staff friendly. I appreciated having the option of a bathroom in my room, even if it was small. Unfortunately, the noise from the street made it hard to sleep at times. The bedding left something to be desired. The twin foam bed was quite uncomfortable. The stairs to reach the hostal felt a bit daunting, especially since the entrance wasn't particularly inviting. Had a great stay, but I might look elsewhere next time due to the bed and noise issues.

Recommend it for couples looking for a cozy stay
The location is just walkin' distance from so much, like Plaza Mayor. The staff were super friendly and able to give us great tips on where to eat. Plus, our room was clean and we had a small balcony overlooking a quiet street, it was nice to have a little space to breathe.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but for what you get, it's still acceptable.
